With the weather being absolutely beautiful we have spent the week outdoors exploring the world around us.

We have re capped the importance of being safe in the sun, remembering our suncream, hats and water bottles everyday and finding shade when we need it.

Mondays visit to the library was fabulous. We really enjoyed listening to Richard the librarian reading us stories. Leyton laughed at the pants story and giggled when Richard used his funny voices. We have all done some super writing about our visit in our special green books. We hope you have all enjoyed looking at the photos.

Miss Chippendale was very proud of us when our phonics assessments were completed on Wednesday. Everyone has listened really well this term and we are all so clever we are almost ready to start phase 4. This is really smart work.

In maths we have continued learning to tell the time to o'clock and half past, and have been counting on and back in 10's to 100 as well as recognising 2 digit numbers on our 100 square.

Dan came again this Thursday morning and continued with our football skills. Joshua took lots of photographs for us (because of his sore feet he couldn't play)

Well done to Elle for winning this weeks certificate for excellent football.

Today we have celebrated excellent attendance with a party this afternoon. Well done to all the children who made it this half term.

There is no official homework but if you have time you could practice counting in 2's or 10's, (forwards and backwards) try to recognise 2 digit numbers when out and about or ask your child to tell you the time at o'clock and half past. You could also keep a diary of your week to practise your writing each day.

Well done to our star of the week Toby and our certificate winners Joshua and Damian.

Enjoy your half term, stay safe in the sun.
