This week we have focused a lot of our attention on our written work, to make sure our class writing folder is ready for our end of year assessment. Here is a poem that was written by Joey Price this week:

I saw a jolly teacher,

Teaching in his jolly class,

After lesson he saw me on the field,

He shouted, “GET OFF THE GRASS!”

The teacher took me back inside,

He marched me into school,

He said to me, “you must follow my rules”

“No sir, I’m far too cool.”

He handed me some lined paper,

He told me what I must write,

I told him I couldn’t be bothered,

He roared at me, with all of his might.

I completed the task he gave me,

And began to leave the room,

He told me I was a nuisance,

And boomed, “I’M SURE YOU’LL BE BACK SOON!”

I saw an angry teacher,

Shouting at his class,

“No break time for you lot,

So you’re not going on the grass!”
