Sunshine class really have worked their socks off this week. We have spent the majority of the week in our key groups focussing on really specific areas. We have enjoyed the new indoor and outdoor classroom layout which has been set up with challenges to develop our speech and communication skills. Most children have enjoyed the revamped home corner with links to the Doctors surgery. Tyler was wonderful at fixing Mrs Parkinson's knee and Kara was great at fixing the poorly baby. The class have been wonderful with phonics this week; blending sounds together to read and write words. Remember to continue learning the Gruffalo words. There will be 5 more words added today to learn over the next week.
All groups have continued with their work on numbers. 1-1 correspondance counting conkers carefully; finding more or less and identifying the greater number. We have all been practicing our number formation too, in lots of different ways. Children should be congratulated on how well they are doing with their number work.
The football session was great again yesterday. Well done to Sapphire on earning the certificate from Dan.
Our mile a day challenge is still going strong, another 7 miles clocked up this week. Well done to Mrs Parkinson, Miss Chippendale, Hannah, Jamie, Noah, Isaac and Niamh completing miles this week.
Our certificate went to Lucas for star of the week for trying much harder to follow instructions. Remi earned a merit award off Mrs Bradley for fantastic effort with her reading in school and at home. Ethan earned a merit award off Mrs Carney for trying very hard with his writing.
