This week in diamond class we have been very busy as usual. During our maths lessons we have been using a formal written method for subtraction and calculating the perimeter of polygons. In English we have started a new unit of work looking at a non-fiction text about animal migration.

On Thursday we went to Ashton CSC again. This week we made a Tangram game from plastic and used a vacuum forming machine to make part of the game. We then went to science and explored how Galileo invented the telescope in 1607. Then we experimented burning different metals in the flame of a Bunsen burner to see how the Chinese invented fireworks of different colours.

Today we held a remembrance service in the hall. It was very touching. All the classes did something in the assembly. Amy read out her poem which she wrote in class on Wednesday.

Next week remember to be organised for PE on Tuesday and Thursday.
