Welcome back after the half term.
This term is certainly going to be filled with lots of fun, laughter and hard work!!
In English this week the children have been learning about the Museum of fun, the children are exploring how to make the museum a more exciting place. They have been exploring the different rooms in the museum and discussing ways to make them better.
In Mathematics the children have been learning to use the grid method to multiply 2-digit numbers, they have even used the multiplication skills to learn how to do short division.
In Science the children have been learning about the parts of a plant. The children dissected some lily's and tulips and have identified the male and female parts. They have established how the life cycle of a flower works. (Creating a new class display about it)
In Geography the children have been learning to use an atlas to locate, countries, cities, rivers, mountains and canals across the world. Max didn't see the point when everyone has a phone with built in SAT Nav! I certainly can agree with him! :-)
In P.E this term the children are learning basketball and out adventure skills.
