We have had an action packed week in Moonbeam Class this week. This week we have had Pancake Day and World Book day, as well as all of our other lessons.

On Monday we looked at different types of weather in different countries, whilst learning about the World map and the equator. The children explored different countries and their climates whilst deciding where they would like to holiday and why.

On Tuesday the children flipped and ate pancakes and wrote a recipe about how to make them.

We also explored the School grounds in order to find signs of plants, flowers and trees. We learnt about the parts of a plant and what their functions are.

"I liked finding the daffodils." – Elle

"I liked picking the flowers" - Lucy

On Wednesday we made houses out of 2D shapes in Mathematics using the computers. The children’s computer skills are progressing really well and their imagination shown in their house designs were amazing!

On Thursday it was World Book day. Thank you for kitting out the children in fantastic Dalmatian outfits, they all looked terrific! Our activities involved word searches, bookmarks, face painting, kennel designs, dot-to-dots, drama and finding clues to help save puppies. Some of the puppies in our class were nearly stolen but luckily Mr P was able to provide us with shelter to hide from Horace and Jasper. We also had our football development lesson dressed as Dalmatians and had a special visit from Cruella who let us try on her wig!

This week has been truly amazing and the children in Moonbeam Class continue to work immensely hard. Keep up the good work!

Our Star of the week is Patryk.

Our first merit certificate this week is for Lucy for her outstanding reading and phonics work, where she amazes us all with her knowledge and capability. Our second merit certificate is for Jamie-Leigh who has shown a mature attitude towards her work and relationships with her peers, as well as being an excellent role model.

Football certificates were awarded to Scarlett and Dhayyan.

Well done everyone!
