What a fantastic couple of weeks Moonbeam Class have had.

Last week we completed our Phonics screening tests and all of the children made me extremely proud. They all did amazingly well and their hard work has definitely paid off! We awarded them all a merit certificate for their efforts and the rest of the week we celebrated with doing no more phonics.

Last week Harrison was awarded our other merit certificate and Etienne was our star of the week.

We had a visit from the Life Bus and the children learnt all about being healthy and how our body works.

Lucy – “Our lungs collect oxygen to help us breathe.”

Etienne – “Fruit and vegetables keep us healthy.”

Damian – “Exercise helps our bodies to stay healthy.”

Oskar – “We saw Harold.”

This week, we have been back to business and back to our normal lessons. We have enjoyed learning 15 minute interval times and recapping time in Mathematics, poetry and future ambitions in English and materials in Science, to name just a few. We have looked at the creation story in R.E and competitive assault courses in P.E.

Nearly all of us had a ‘full house’ (as the children like to call it), on Friday, so we celebrated with Golden time and sweets.

Next week is walk to School week! We are going to try and win the reward afternoon by having as many of us as possible, walk to School, or rollerblade, cycle or scooter into School.

Next Friday (28thJune) is non-uniform day and our class have been asked to bring in sweets donations for the summer fair, which is on Tuesday 2ndJuly, at 2pm.

I would like to thank you all for your continued support over the past few weeks. We very much appreciate it and we hope you are just as proud of your children, as we are.

Our star of the week is Dhayyan.

Our merit certificates this week were awarded to Scarlett for wonderful poetry work and to Iyla-Rose for her marvelous time work.

Our football stars from the past two weeks have been Lucy and Damian.

Well done everyone!
