Is it really the end of week two already? How the last two weeks have flown by already!

Let’s have a quick look at some of the things we have been doing throughout yet another busy week:

  1. We performed our ‘Down by the Bay’ poems to the rest of the class. Mr Blackburn was very impressed at the team work on show. Each child stood up at presented their work with intonation and expression which was hugely pleasing!
  2. We began looking at the differences in film throughout the last century. Our focus has been on comparing ‘Between Showers’ starring Charlie Chaplin in 1914, with the new Aladdin film starring Will Smith. We watched clips of each of these films and then compared the marketing for each of the films.
  3. We developed our addition skills in Mathematics. We used formal column methods to add whole numbers with up to seven digits and decimal numbers with up to three decimal places.
  4. We started playing team games in PE. These games were adapted from the games the children created the week before. It was great to see more teamwork skills on show throughout the session.
  5. We continued writing our own messages and decoding Morse code messages in Computing. This was the homework task given to all children this week and everyone completed it to a pleasing standard! Well done everyone!
