We have some new toys! Thanks to the generous sponsor money, we have been able to buy some new toys and resources for our classroom. We haven’t spent all of our money yet but what we have so far is fantastic and the children have really enjoyed being able to play with them on Friday afternoon. So thank you again for collecting and sending in the money, it really had made a massive difference to our environment.

We have started our new topic gymnastics in P.E, looking at different positions using our bodies and putting them into a routine. On a Wednesday with Miss Chippendale the children have started Geography and their new topic on the United Kingdom. The children worked hard to locate and name the four countries within the U.K and the surrounding seas.

In Maths we have concentrated on subtraction and then differentiating between adding and subtracting and the children worked really hard in their partners completing a calculation grid.

In English we have continued with our non-fiction unit and have taken inspiration to write some incredible Autumn Diaries. We went on an autumn walk around the School grounds and wrote about our adventure. The children’s writing has been outstanding and I am so proud of how well they have done. I have posted the pictures from our autumn walk on the gallery and below.

All week, the children have concentrated, listened carefully and put 100% effort into everything they have done. Well done Moonbeam class!

This week our Star of the Week is Remi.

The Good friend certificate was chosen by the children and they voted for Noah.

Merit Certificates this week were awarded to Lillie and to Jamie.

Sports awards from Lloyd were awarded to Niamh and Aleks.

Well done to everyone!
