This week we have continued to observe our caterpillars, we are amazed at how much they have grown. At the start of the week they were just 1cm long but now they are 4cm long. We have enjoyed finding out about their appearance and the purpose of the webbing in the pots too.

We have also been developing our self confidence by talking about what we are good at and all the things we can now do that we couldn’t do at the start of our time in Sunshine class. There is so much more we can do now which is incredible. We created little songs with instruments which we performed to the rest of the class. I was thrilled with how brave everybody was.

On Wednesday we enjoyed finding out all about fruit. We looked at more unusual fruit that we wouldn’t maybe come across so often. Everybody enjoyed trying new things and made their own fruit faces.

In Phonics this week we have learned the new trigraph ‘igh’ we have continued to work on rhyming words and have been writing short sentences more independently.

In Maths we have been ordering numbers from smallest to biggest.

We have had our weekly football lesson and have done our daily walking. Everybody has been on the trampoline too.

Our star of the week is Ava-Mae
