We have been having lots of fun in Year 5 this week and had lots of exciting learning going on too.

Miss Eccles, our trainee teacher, has been working with us in PE and Science. We have been using our map skills to find symbols around the school grounds in PE. In Science, we dissected a heart. This was so interesting and the children loved it. We looked at the chambers and discussed how our blood flows through our body. We then made a model of this with red water and straws. 

In English, we have been looking at the poem The Highwayman and in Mathematics we have been looking at prime numbers. 

We have also been looking after Coco, our new class hamster and making sure she has a clean home with lots of food and water.
