Week commencing 04 September 2023

 

Welcome back to Gold Class! Our students are relaxed after a wonderful summer break and both Mr Blackburn and Mr Mears are raring to go.

In Mathematics we have set targets and recapped place values.

In English we have set our aims alongside revising synonyms and antonyms. We have also begun researching the eruption at Pompeii.

In History we have started our new topic of World War II and looked at the expansion and eventual decline of Nazi occupied territories throughout the war.

In computing we have begun to learn coding language using IDLE, exploring the code required to produce mathematical ranges.

In PSHCE, as it is the beginning of a new academic year, we have discussed our goals as a Year 6 class having agreed upon a Charter. We have also done various team work exercises as well as self-reflective exercises regarding the definition of friendship. 

In both Arithmetic and SPAG, we have completed various quizzes to revise our skills to date.

In PE we made use of the hall apparatus to create different obstacle courses and practice varied gymnastic skills.
