In English we have been looking at different animals and how they use their ears. We are trying to find out why elephants have big ears.

Why do elephants have big ears?

"So they can hear for food" (Kacey)

"So they can scare flies away" (Reegan)

We are still investigating this.

In Maths this week we have been counting in groups. The children have been doing really well at counting in 2's, 5's and 10's.

In Science we have started looking at plants. We have planted some broad beans and strawberry seeds. Have a look at the photos in our gallery. We will keep adding more photos as they grow.

Remember the extra homework that was sent home to create a piece of artwork using fruit and vegetables to show their growth.

In R.E we have started talking about Easter. We looked at the importance of Palm Sunday.

          "Shout Hosanna Hosanna" (Alan)

          "We wave Palm trees" (Everyone)

During our P.E lesson we explored different travelling actions. The children moved in different ways around the hall.

"I ran with my hands touching my head" (Drew)

"I ran moving my arms" (Kacey)

The children found it was easier to run moving our arms.

In our History lesson we looked at different household objects from the past.
