Apologies for a delayed blog post but after such a busy week last week Rainbow class were too busy celebrating the end of SATs on Friday!

I have to start by saying a huge WELL DONE to everyone in Rainbow class. All our hard work and determination this year has shown last week as the children sat their SAT's tests (special quizzes) and did amazingly! I am so, so proud of each and every child for all the hard work they put into their SAT's. We chose not to tell the children too much about the SAT's as we didn't want to put them under too much pressure, instead we opted to call them our special quizzes and give the children chance to show off what they had learnt in year 2. The children showed such maturity in the way they coped last week and we decided as a class that we would have a party day on Friday.

On Friday we started off the morning with some free choosing time while the children had an ice-cream treat (their choice of treat!) before watching a film. In the afternoon we went to the park to burn off some energy and then came back to school to enjoy some party food.  A huge thank you to all the parent's who contributed food for our party, we even have enough to feed us for this week too!

The star of the week was Zoha and merit certificates were awarded to the whole of Rainbow class and to Emily J.

There are no spellings this week as we have had such a hard half term that I feel the children deserve a break. The only homework to be completed for this Friday is a homework web in our green homework books. Those children who have done a piece of homework web homework every week this half term will recieve a treat on Friday.

Just one more week to go and then we can all have a well deserved break for a week! Again, WELL DONE for all your hard work Rainbow Class! I am an extremely proud and lucky teacher!
