This week we have enjoyed following instructions to make our own gingerbread men. We baked them on Monday and left them in the oven to cool down for Tuesday. On Tuesday morning they had vanished. Sunshine class put on their detective hats to investigate who had stolen our gingerbread men. We had to measure foot prints and hand prints to find the culprit. We also had to ask some very clever questions to all the grown ups in school to find out who likes tea and gingerbread men. We narrowed it down to being Mr Bamber, Miss Ellison or Mrs Preston who all equally loved gingerbread men, drank tea and had been in the staffroom the day we made them. The only persons footprint to match was Mr Bamber's. As it turned out he hadn't eaten all of them and had hidden them all around school for us to find by following clues. We enjoyed locating our gingerbread men and decorating the spare ones to take home.
Please see all our photographs in our gallery.
We have continued to be healthy with our mile a day excercise and we have had our yoga session again.
Our Maths is amazing we are all doing a brilliant job of ordering numbers to 20 and understanding place value.
Some of the homework this week has been brilliant, we loved Harvey's penguin habitat. Don't forget homework needs to be completed for a Friday and reading should be done everynight.
You may have noticed your child has a spelling book these are high frequency words which we are learning in class. You may wish to practise these at home during the week.
Well done to our certificate winners this week Leyton our star of the week and Filza and Jamie-Leigh for excellent phonics.
