This week we have had lots of fun doing different Easter activities. 

On Monday we made easter chicks on paper plates using paint and feathers. The children told us what they thought about easter.

We read the Easter story and talked about the different people in the story.

"We get eggs because the stone was moved" Lucy

Tuesday was our Easter assembly, we practised our songs for it in the morning. We then re-capped the Easter story. In Maths we did an egg hunt, recognising different numbers. We also made Easter baskets. Our assembly was at 2:30, thankyou to all the parents that came to watch. 

Wednesday the children made Easter cards, they chose which decoration to put on their card and tried really hard with their writing. 

Thursday we had a visit from the Easter bunny. Some children went into the hall to have breakfast with the bunny, they had photos taken and received a chocolate lolly. Please have a look on our school website at all the photos.

Friday has finally arrived and the children (and staff) are very excited for the Easter holidays. We had a celebration assembly this morning. The children from each class did a parade with their easter bonnet on to show the rest of the school. Children who got 100% attendance this term received a certificate.

This week we have also had phonics everyday, we have learnt new sounds this week. ee, ea and er. The children have still been keeping fit by doing the mile a day walk.
