First week back after half term and all the children have been superstars. They have worked extremely hard.
On Monday we had another visit to Ingol library where we talked about the difference between fiction and non fiction books. Richard the librarian read us some stories and we danced to some new songs. When we got back from the library we discussed what information we found out and then went into our school library and chose a fiction and a non fiction book each to take home which was part of our homework this week.
The children have also done some amazing writing about what they did during the holidays.
This week in maths we have been learning to count on. We have been adding 2 numbers together by putting the biggest number in our head and counting on.
We have also had football development skills with Dan and practised our races for sports day. All children should have their p.e kit in school at all times.
This term the new homework task will be stuck in their book each week, there will be no topic web this term. Please remember to also practice reading and spellings.
Our star of the week is Harrison.
Our merit certificate winners are Harvey and Maddison.
Dan chose Lucy for her fantastic football skills.
