Welcome back to our final half term in Rainbow class (and our last half term in Key Stage One too!)

PE

"This week we have been practising for sports day." - Esther

"We have been practising running, the egg and spoon race, the sack race and the beanbag race." - Mikquell

Please make sure children have a sun hat and sun cream in every day as we want to make the most of this glorious weather and get outside as much as possible. Sports day this year is on Tuesday 19th June, with a reserve day the following day in case of rain!

English

"In English with Miss Heaton we have been learning about unusal places to live." - Ada

"Some people visit space for a long time." - Daniel

"Some people live and work in the Antarctic where there is lots of snow." - Alice

Science

"We have been planting seeds in science." - Esther

"We are trying to find out which will grow the best." - Alan

We are carrying out an investigation to see what a plant needs to survive so the children have planted different seeds, some have light and water, some do not. I wonder which one will grow the best?

History

"We are learning about the seaside." - Philip

"A lot of people go to the seaside." - Kacey

"In the Victorian times people went on holiday to the beach." - Daniel

This weeks star of the week is Arham and our merit certificates were awarded to Ada and Skye. Nicole C, Mikquell and Caroline were awarded a polite award. Kayden is our sports person of the week. Well done everyone!

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sunshine!
