WOW! This week we have been amazingly busy with so many exciting things happening in Moonbeam Class.
This week we visited Ingol Library with Mrs Dorota, Mrs Agic and Mrs Hudson. We had a lovely afternoon walking down as a class on our first little trip and the children behaved impeccably, using their manners by being polite to members of the public that we passed, as well as drivers who waited for us to cross roads. We were greeted by Mags who read us a story about a Tiger, and she taught us how there were different types of books that we could read from the library. We then learnt how to draw a variety of animals and we sang songs about animals, including sharing our counting monkey banana song.
“I liked learning about the Tiger” Percysledge.
“I liked our walk” Maddison.
“I loved learning to draw the animals” Bree-Anna.
This week we have had an exciting visitor…In English we have been reading “Who’s our new teacher?” and the children have loved learning about the BIG, GREEN, DRAGON and have been working so hard in their activities. So much so, the BIG, GREEN, DRAGON came to visit us in our classroom. Unfortunately, he didn’t realise that we weren’t in School at night, so he left us a letter along with a big mess!
“We were learning about what had happened to the dragon” Elle.
“The dragon is very messy” Harrison.
“The dragon likes to eat fruit and teachers” Toby.
We have made wanted posters to warn people around to keep their eyes peeled for the BIG, GREEN, DRAGON. If anyone finds any clues for where the dragon might have ended up, the children have set up an investigation station in the classroom.
“He has two eyes” Patryk.
“He is scaly” Bree-Anna.
He has three toes and green footprints” Gabriella.
We have painted animals in our mark making area outside, we have made an estimation and investigation station in the classroom and made wanted posters to try and find our dragon. Please take a look at our gallery below, to see all the wonderful things we have done this week!
We had Dan the man in on Thursday for our football lesson and Scarlett was awarded a certificate for her fantastic football skills.
Our Star of the Week was Aaron and our merit certificates went to Iyla –Rose and Harrison.
