A fun but fast first week back with only three days, I hope you all enjoyed the half term.
Over the past few days we have enjoyed our new areas in the classroom, an Autumn walk and discussing how to stay safe on Halloween.
In English this week we have been on an Autumn walk where we used our senses to describe what we could see, hear, smell and touch and the children wrote in scrap books, along with sticking in what they found along the way. If you would like to have a look at our scrapbooks please ask and we will be more than happy to show you the children’s work.
We have been working hard in Mathematics where we have been sorting 2D shapes and describing them to one another. The children have enjoyed sequencing shapes into patterns and have worked really well in groups, helping each other along with their work, which is lovely to see!
On Wednesday with Miss Chippendale the children made hats and lots of different Halloween crafts and discussed how to be safe when trick or treating. Their creations were amazing!
Our merit certificates this week went to Gabriella for her fantastic independent writing and to Mya for working really hard in her Phonics lessons. Our star of the week award went to Maddison for having a fantastic week in class and working really hard in every lesson. Well done everyone!
Have a lovely weekend and please keep safe if you are attending bonfires or firework displays over the weekend. Enjoy and see you all on Monday!
