Religious Education
The Curriculum Co-Ordinator for Religious Education is Mr Bamber
Religious Education is an important part of Pool House life, it is a starting point to understanding tolerance and understanding different cultures, beliefs and religions. We follow the Lancashire Locally Agreed Syllabus as organised by SACRE, which was updated in 2021. Parents/Carers may withdraw their child from Religious Education provided they give written notification to the school. Across school we learn about and learn from a variety of religions, with a main focus on Christianity, Hindu Dharma and Sikhi. As we progress through school we learn about the Islamic faith, Jewish faith and Buddhist faith. Religious Education is taught every week across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 for one hour.
