Computing
The Curriculum Co-Ordinator for Computing is Mr Mearns
Computing is an important part of our curriculum and our school follows the National Curriculum Programmes of Study as well as the Lancashire Programme of Study. To support teachers in their planning we use Switched On Computing. The core of computing is the study of computer science. Computing also ensures that pupils become digitally literate – able to use, and express themselves and develop their ideas through, information and communication technology. Each topic we study in Computing has a clear link to the National Curriculum. Computing is studied each term in every class in school.
