PSHCE/Wellbeing
The Curriculum Co-Ordinator for PSHCE/Wellbeing is Mr Bamber
At Pool House, we feel Wellbeing and PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health, Citizen Education) come hand in hand as an approach. We follow the National Curriculum Programmes of Study, the Lancashire Programme of Study and PSHE Association. In our weekly PSHCE and Wellbeing lessons we ensure we are covering a range of skills in three main areas, Health and Wellbeing, Living in the Wider World and Relationships. Parents/Carers have the right to withdraw their children from all or part of the Relationships and Sex Education provided at school except for those parts included in statutory National Curriculum Science. One lesson of PSHCE is taught across school each week, with KS1 having a regular Wellbeing Assembly fortnightly.
