If I were a unicorn...
Just a quick blog this week to let you know some of the things that the year six children have been doing when they came out to me. In mathematics, we went over some of the angle questions they had struggled with, they were very hard, but they got there in the end. We also looked at factors, prime…
Amazing Arachnids
Another very busy week this week…I think I’m sensing a theme here! Anyway, for the forthcoming weeks, the main focus in my timetable, will be working with some of the year six children who will be doing their SATs tests in the coming months. They will be doing some work at greater depth with me,…
What a super week!
What a week! First off, Happy St David’s Day and Happy World Book Day too. The children have all had an amazing time in school today and created comic strips, acted out super hero plays, read stories with each other and also helped to solve the mystery of Mrs Bennett being kidnapped! All was well…

Practice what you preach!
Whoops…I knew there was something I needed to remember before we broke up for half term…it was to do my blog and I forgot. I must remember to practice the memory games I’m always telling others to do!

Blooming Marvelous Week!
Some really good work in phonics and literacy support this week, where we also worked on our auditory memory. Trying to develop our memory for what we have heard, can really help us with reading and spelling, as well as remembering our PE kit for school! You could play a game of: ‘I went to the…

Happy New Year!
‘Happy New Year’ to all and welcome back to school, for what promises to be a very busy half term. The groups that have been working with me this week, have all been finishing off our analysis project from last half term…it got very rudely interrupted by Christmas!
The junior groups have…
It's Christmas!
Well folks, it's nearly here! Only a few days left in school and then Christmas day will be upon us. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a very safe, happy and fun Christmas time.
The production of Peter Pan at the Winter Gardens yesterday certainly helped to put me in the…
Silly Season in Full-Swing!
We are definitely in ‘silly season’ now. Glitter adorns the carpets in every classroom and the infant children were amazing in the nativity on Tuesday afternoon and evening.
On Tuesday morning, the choir accompanied Mrs Bennett, Mr Bamber and myself to sing Christmas songs and carols at…

Teams of six-made up from children from the infants and all of the junior classes were joined by similar teams from Holy Family and Ingol Community. They battled it out over eight rounds which included general Christmas knowledge, festive famous faces, 'wrapped up' famous buildings, a Christmas…
